The Asagba of Asaba, Prof. Chike Edozien has blasted the presidential and governorship candidates of the Social Democratic Party, Prince Adewole Adebayo and Mr. Kenneth Gbagi for dishonouring his palace.

The monarch stated this on Thursday while receiving the party candidates at his palace in Asaba, the Delta state capital.

The SDP team which scheduled a courtesy visit at 1pm arrived at the palace around 3:30pm after the 98-year-old-monarch and his chiefs had waited endlessly.

Welcoming the team, Obi Edozien frowned on the attitude of the SDP candidates for keeping him and the Asaba chiefs waiting.

He said, “We are very, very displeased with the attitude of the SDP. I have been sitting here since 1pm based on the time you gave us, considering my age.

“We are not happy waiting endlessly, we are time conscious in Asaba. Don’t play with us in this manner.”

The monarch, who lamented that the naira has been devalued to the lowest point, asked the presidential candidate how he planned to fix the economic woes of the country, if elected.
