Payment Of N75,000, N50,000 Per Semester To Students Hindered By ASUU Strike- FG

The Federal Government (FG) has stated that the ongoing strike has hampered the payment of the proposed bursary of N75,000 to undergraduates of education on university and N50,000 to students of the National College of Education (NCE) per semester.

According to, Andrew Adejo, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, stated this during GBE 2022 World Teachers Day in Abuja.

He said that the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu said FG should find a modality through which the respective states’ governments could provide automatic employments for NCE and graduates at Basic Education level.

The implementation has commenced.

Only 7% of the data of students in universities have be collected to be processed.

He noted that the theme of the year for the World Teachers Day is the transformation of education begins with teachers’ strongly emphasizes the importance of education to ensure quality teaching and learning as well as galvanize technological advancements to meet the ever-changing needs for the nation’s growth and development.
