The ruling All Progressive Congress, Osun State chapter, have said that it is optimistic of victory in the petition filed by it governoship candidate and incumbent Osun State Governor Adegboyega Oyetola challenging the victory of the opposition PDP’s Osun governorship candidate, Ademola Adeleke, in the 16th July 2022 governoship election.
The Governoship Election Petition Tribunal presided over by Justice Tertsea Kume had been adjourned on 26th September 2022 till next Tuesday (coming week) for pre-hearing of the petition. According to Justice Tertsea Kume, the adjournment of the petition was necessary in order to allow the respondents to file their response to the issues raised for determination.
However, speaking in an exclusive interview with NAN, Kola Olabisi, the Special Adviser on Media to Osun APC Chairman, Gboyega Famodun, expressed confidence that the ruling party will defeated Ademola Adeleke and PDP at the election tribunal.
This is as he insisted that the ruling of Supreme Court which validated Ademola Adeleke as the authentic governoship candidate of PDP for the election, has nothing to do with the APC’s petition against Adeleke’s victory.
