The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has expressed willingness to form an alliance with the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, Atiku admitted that Obi took the votes of the PDP in the South-East and Southsouth.

He however noted that one cannot be Nigeria president unless he has the nationwide support.

He stated that Peter Obi was in a rush and he was scared of PDP governors.

According to the former Vice President, he stayed in the party and fought the governors who wanted one of them to emerge as presidential candidate and running mate.

Atiku stated that he can not leave the party for the governors, stressing that some of them where in secondary school when the PDP was formed.
