He described the quarterly empowerment programme and hand of fellowship of Sowade as worthwhile, remarkable, timely and one that had impacted greatly in the lives of the residents of Modakeke, particularly the vulnerable, widows and aged people.
The second edition of the quarterly empowerment programme tagged “Oyetola Hand of Fellowship” is aimed to bring succour to the people.
Sowade described the gesture as a ‘child of necessity’ to continuously make lives more worthwhile and meaningful for the people of the community.
This is even as the beneficiaries lauded the kind gestures extended to them saying it has further rekindled their hopes in God and humanity for survival.
Recall that the benefactor, Sowade, had in July, 2023, at the maiden edition of his empowerment programme, empowered over 400 households with essential commodities such as cash, food items and other domestic essentials.

“I must commend Engr. Sowade for this initiative which has further attested to our commitment to the welfare and general wellbeing of the people. I am particularly enthused that this is coming from him to impact in the lives of his people.
“As we all know, this is a continuation and replication of our social intervention programmes as attested to while we were administering the affairs of the state. This is what progressive party and family is known for. We’re for the people and humanity.
“I must commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his sterling leadership and avowed commitment to turn around the socioeconomic fortunes of our dear country since his assumption of office.
“I want to use this occasion to appeal to the citizens to exercise patience with the APC led-government in the country as its people-oriented and pro-masses policies begin to manifest for the goodness and betterment of all and sundry.
“As to the loyalists of our party here, I want to urge you all to return to Wards and Local Governments for regular meetings as this is the only way to continue to breathe life and stimulate the party. Going by the bold steps taken by the President towards actualizing the ‘renewed hope’ agenda, it is crystal clear that our country is on the path to greatness.
“Let’s continue to promote our cause as a progressive family and by the special grace of God, we are returning to government by 2026”, Oyetola added.
In his short remarks, Engr. Sowade attributed the gesture to his commitment to impact positively in humanity.
He noted that the gesture was conceived to continuously extending the hand of fellowship to the people of his town as part of efforts to give back to the society.
