Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has issued a shocking directive, resulting in the dismissal of recently recruited staff at the UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital’s outreach centers.
The initial recruitment exercise had been carried out with much anticipation, as it was seen as a ray of hope for many job seekers in the state.
A document obtained by Naijinfo duly signed by Dr. Owolade O. A, the director of administration of the teaching hospital notified the newly recruited staffs that their employment has been nullified by the state government.
The message read: “NOTIFICATION: SUSPENSION OF STAFF RECRUITMENT.
This is to inform the newly recruited staff to the outreach centers that the recruitment exercise earlier conducted had been nullified in accordance with the Osun State Government directives. This notification supersedes the earlier memorandum released. Thank you.”
The reasons behind this sudden about-face by the Governor remain a subject of speculation, leaving many to wonder about the fate of these newly appointed employees and the future of healthcare services at the UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital’s outreach centers.
