Drama as Tinubu appoints Suspended Osun APC Member as NPC Commissioner

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has allegedly announced the reappointment of Senator Mudasiru Hussain, a suspended member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Osun State chapter, as the National Population Commission (NPC) federal commissioner to represent the state.

Mudasir Hussain, who was suspended along with 24 others from the APC, faced allegations of engaging in anti-party activities during the July 16, 2022 Governorship election and the February 2023 general election.

Tajudeen Lawal, the chairman of the party in Osun, cited their involvement in creating a faction within the APC in the state as the reason for their suspension.

The reappointment of Senator Hussain has sparked controversy and drawn negative comments from various quarters. Many are questioning the decision of selecting someone who was accused of working against the party, particularly during the presidential election involving President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Hussain is to serve as Federal Commissioner, National Population Commission for the second term in office according to a trendy statement purpotedly released and signed by the Special adviser to Mr President on media and publicity Anjuri Ngelale.
