A socio political group, The Imole Collaborators has faulted the Inter-Party Advisory Council, IPAC Osun state over their condemnation on the appointment of Barr. Hazim Abioye as the state chairman of Osun state Independent Electoral Commission, OSSIEC, saying the state chapter of IPAC is being partisan.
This was contained in a release issued and signed by the group secretary, Prince Gbade A. A. Adelakun (Snr.) and made available with the newsmen in Osogbo during the weekend.
The group said, they left IPAC as a result of being partisan and didn’t followed the trend of things in the circle of Osun politics.
Their statement reads: “Our attention has been drawn to a publication by where Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) Osun State chapter reportedly rejects Governor Ademola Adeleke’s nominee as the Chairman,Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSIEC)”
“We would have left this compromised Osun IPAC to continue their inglorious assignment for their paymaster Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, but we will like to make it known to the whole world that the said IPAC Chairman, Wale Adebayo and Secretary Tosin Odeyemi are discredited politicians whose anticedents are known all over the state”
“Where were Wale Adebayo and Tosin Odeyemi when the APC government of Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola conducted local government election in disobedience to a lawful court order in 2022.?
“It is on record that both men,Wale Adebayo APM State Chairman, and Tosin Odeyemi NNPP State Chairman, collapsed their political parties structures for that of APC in the last governorship and presidential election”
“These fake and compromised politicians do not have any other assignment than collecting money from APC government to do their bidding”
“Was is not known to them that the immediate past OSIEC Chairman Otunba Segun Oladitan is a known card carrying member of APC ? but they choose to look the other way because APC was their paymaster ?He who lives in glass house should not throw stones both Wale Adebayo and Tosin Odeyemi cannot use IPAC to do their dirty jobs anymore. What the good people of osun State are looking for is a free, fair, transparent and credible electoral process and programmes that will better their lots.”
“We will want to call on the Osun State house of assembly to do due diligence by screening and confirming the appointment of Barrister Hasim Abioye so that election to the local government can be conducted in no distant future”
“Former Governor Oyetola refused to Conduct Local Government election until the twilight of his administration, and despite a lawful court order he went ahead to conduct a shabby Yes or No local government election both Wale Adebayo and Tosin Odeyemi did not react nor comment on that, therefore they should keep their mouth shut and finish their second term as both IPAC chairman and Secretary and retire to enjoy their ill-gotten wealth they made when APC and Alhaji Oyetola hold sway as Osun State Governor”
“If they keep on messing up on the pages of newspaper, The Imole collaborators will have no other alternative than to open up their can of worms not known to the general populace in Osun State” the statement concluded.
