… Enlightens Them on Importance of Party’s Membership Electronic Registration
As part of her efforts to continuously propagating the existing structure of unity, cohesion and sisterhood in the party -the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, the Osun Central Senatorial District Women Leader, Alhaja Muslimot Ibrahim on Tuesday flagged off massive distribution of food items as Sallah package for women folks in the District.
The APC women leader of the Osun Central Senatorial District advocated the need for the loyalists of the party most significantly the women to troop out en masse as soon as the proposed electronic registration of the party commences as part of efforts to further regurgitate and strengthen the party as the state approaches next election season.
The food distribution gesture, according to her, was aimed to encourage and support the women wing of the party during and after the festive period and further educate them to do the needful by making themselves available for APC membership digital registration being proposed by the national leadership of the party.
Recall that Alhaja Ibrahim had few weeks ago embarked on a women mobilisation and sensitization tour across the 10 Local Government Areas of the District, a motive targeted to reawaken the consciousness of her fellow women to clarion call to duties, obligations and responsibilities in the party.
Addressing the women at the food distribution flag-off occasion, Alhaja Ibrahim expressed delight in the impressive turnout saying it is a sign of unity and harmony that exists between members and leaders of the party in the Senatorial District.
“I am highly impressed with the level of unity, love and companionship that exists between women folk in our District in particular and Osun in general. This is indeed a sign of peaceful atmosphere reigning in our party.
“As we all know, our party- the All Progressives Congress APC will soon commence electronic membership registration exercise which will open a great window of opportunity for us to partake and get registered. This is a necessity not an option as it is essential for us to get registered electronically. Let us drive this initiative by participating actively in the entire process. We must begin to mobilize our people across the nooks and crannies of the state to ensure a seamless and successful registration exercise.
“As leaders of women in our respective councils in the District, let’s continue to engage our people, sensitize them and enlighten them the more as we journey through the registration period vis-a-vis the future elections”, she canvassed.
As manifested in their countenance during the meeting, the thoughtful gesture will not only foster companionship among party members but also raise their consciousness, enthusiasms and determination as they gear up for the upcoming party electronic membership registration.
Speaking, the APC State Chairman, Alhaji Tajudeen Lawal extolled the members and leaders of the party for their resilience, resoluteness and unwavering commitment to the growth and development of the party.
He commended the Osun Central Women folk and loyalists of the party for their sense of love, unity and harmony as manifested in the successful programmes done so far.
The party chairman therefore encouraged them not to relent in working assiduously and collectively with others in uplifting the party and taking it to enviable heights.
